Development of a corner of reading in a child’s room: Montessori
You don’t need to have a large space to organize a pleasant corner reading. A good way to give importance to their books, to give you the desire to read, but also to structure your room and give it personality!
According to Montessori
- The reading room must be well defined and identifiable, preferably in a corner of the room
- All books must be placed in the same manner, cover front of the child and be easily accessible
- Do not put too many books available at the same time (no more than 10 or 12) and rotalos regularly
- Make sure that the brightness of the reading area is enough or installed a light
- Get new books on a regular basis.
- It must supervise the child in connection with their interests, what they learn in school, seasons and celebrations that mark the year, etc.
